Sean R. Spencer
Financial Advisor PartnerIt is with a compassionate heart and a curious mind that Sean fulfills his role as a financial advisor. He genuinely cares about the financial well-being of his clients and their families and enjoys building close, trusted relationships with them.
He listens carefully to understand each client’s individual goals, needs and concerns in order to customize a financial plan and investment strategy that is tailored to their life and puts them on track for pursuing their envisioned future.
Knowing that the families and individuals he serves have needs beyond just retirement planning, Sean’s comprehensive approach includes important financial and legacy matters, such as estate planning, tax planning, business succession planning, charitable giving strategies and establishing endowments and foundations.
He carefully constructs investment portfolios using strategies that take into consideration everything from tax mitigation to multigenerational planning. He collaborates with his clients’ tax and legal advisors to help ensure a cohesive approach that ties all elements together.
Sean’s background in corporate finance did not offer him much person-to-person interaction, so he transitioned his career to working with families and individuals, which he enjoys today as a partner at Access Capital. Before moving to this role in the summer of 2023, he served as a financial advisor and vice president at IMA Wealth in Wichita for eight years.
A member of the Young Financial Professionals of Wichita, Sean was named to the Wichita Business Journal’s 40 under 40* for 2022. He is a graduate of Wichita State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical business.
Actively involved in the community, Sean serves on the business advisory board of Wichita State University’s Barton School of Business and previously served on the advisory board of the Robert D. Love Downtown YMCA.
Sean grew up in a military family and their frequent moves took him to Georgia, Colorado, Germany, Italy, California and Hawaii. Today, Sean lives in east Wichita with his wife, Chloe, and their children, Myra, Truitt, Meritt, Nova and Thea. In his free time, Sean enjoys golfing and reading.
